Travis’s father died when he was 10 years old. Travis and his dad had a special bond, and the death was devastating for Travis. Travis found his outlet in the game of hockey. At age 17, he was drafted by the New York Islanders. He has become an NHL Star. For every home game, Travis leaves tickets for kids who have lost a parent. After the game, he speaks with his guests about his experience of loss and offers to be a source of strength for the kids.
