Freddie’s mom died when he was 10 years old. Freddie leaned on his family, especially his father, for support. He also rededicated himself to the game that he loved — baseball. Freddie was drafted by the Atlanta Braves right out of high school. He has become one of the best players in the Major Leagues and an inspirational figure for people everywhere.
