Brian’s mother (Judi) died when he was 12. She was the glue that held his family together, and losing her was devastating for Brian, his brothers and his father. Sports were an important outlet for Brian. He worked hard to become the starting quarterback for the University of Michigan, where he led the Wolverines to a National Championship. He went on to play in the NFL. Today, Brian and his wife Brooke run Judi’s House, a center to support grieving children and their families in Denver, CO.
